Article on parental acceptance and same-sex marriage in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

I’m pleased to see this research in print, that follows on from my previous work on same-sex marriage in China (2011) and family pressure experienced by LGBT folks in the country (2019). Along with my brilliant former PhD student, Eliz Wong, and co-authors Randolph Chan and Yiu-tung Suen, I have a new piece that argues legal recognition in Chinese societies matters for same-sex couples, but family acceptance is as much (if not more) important. It is open access in Archives of Sexual Behavior.
